The inaugural Human Cell Atlas Africa Symposium will take place virtually on 21-22 March 2022 with talks and discussions 11am-4.30pm GMT each day. This scheme provides funding for software developers from any career stage and discipline to develop digital tools that will improve climate sensitive infectious disease modelling. By the end of the award, successful applicants will have delivered a piece of open-source digital technology that will increase the impact of research in addressing this threat to health. The UNESCO-Russia Mendeleev International Prize in the Basic Sciences aims to promote and honour excellence in the basic sciences, defined to include the disciplines of chemistry, physics, mathematics and biology, the foundation on which scientific knowledge can be propagated and which are fundamental to the advancement of innovation and sustainable development. This competitive visiting scholar program will target early career women researchers from the 10 AAP member universities to travel to Michigan State University (MSU) for one year to be jointly supervised by faculty members from MSU and their home institution in research for impact, writing of scholarly and/or policy publications, dissemination of research results and grant proposals.
