H3Africa: Mentorship/Collaboration Program with Cambridge Faculty

Overview (Content and Syllabus etc)

H3Africa in collaboration with the Cambridge-Africa is pleased to announce an informal research mentorship/collaboration program between African Researchers and Cambridge University and its affiliated institutes. This opportunity is open to 4 or 5 early/middle career H3Africa affiliated researchers or support staff of high calibre. The mentorship aims to link successful H3Africa affiliated researchers/support staff with relevant Cambridge counterparts. The pre-requisite is that the H3Africa affiliated researcher/support staff should have a draft proposal they have developed as a lead. They can then together with the Cambridge mentor think about how to obtain funding to do more in that subject area (including by applying for our ALBORADA Research Fund - if both parties are eligible), and in a coordinated way. Proposals that include a strong capacity building or training component will be considered. We encourage potential applicants to the Fogarty Emerging Global Leader Award who have a draft proposal to apply. The H3Africa Education and Coordinated Working Group will assist in selecting top proposals while the Cambridge-Africa programme staff will facilitate connections. Please note: Cambridge-Africa may be able to match all, or none of the potential candidates.
