African Population Genomic Structure: Impact of diet, geography, and ancestry on the gut microbiome
The presentation will generally illustrate the application of integrative genomics approaches for genetic and phenotypic diversity studies in Africa with a focus on gut microbiome. It will highlight the importance and ELSI of gut microbiome research. The field methodology of fecal collection and storage shall form a key part of this presentation. The presentation will end with some data generated from previous collections from three African countries.

ACEGID Summer Genomics Bootcamp
Our Summer Genomics Bootcamp has two parts: a Foundational Training Workshop (May 20-June 14, 2019) and an Advanced Training Workshop (May 6-31, 2019) which will both be held at Redeemer's University in Ede, Nigeria and run through our H3Africa Project - Genomic Characterization and Surveillance of Microbial Threats in West Africa and our World Bank funded African Centre of Excellence for Genomics of Infectious Diseases.
